Written Manifesto:

“The six is an experiment on the results of chopping up and filling curves in forms that would normally be rounded in a more standard letterform. This resulted in a six that works fairly well at small sizes on screens - due to its straighter edges. I’m pleased with how this turned out and could imagine the rest of the characters for the font this could belong to having a quirky, chunky feeling.

The six has an interesting contrast between elegance and ruggedness. It’s like it has something missing from its forms though actually forms and angles have been added to it. I didn’t get a chance to print the number itself, but I would imagine that ink would blotch up at intersections and would prevent the six from being very useful at small sizes in print. My inspiration came from GT Sectra and its strangely sliced-up shapes.”
